The Zero Edition of the Fessura Ultratrail GSR was born with a clear ambition. To bring trail running to the heart of the Marche region and build, step by step, an event capable of becoming a reference point for the Italian outdoor scene.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26: THE GRANDE ANELLO DEI SIBILLINI MISSION
The programme begins on Saturday, September 26, in the main square of Amandola. At 3:00 PM, a highly anticipated moment of the entire weekend will begin from the historic centre.
A selected group of athletes will set off on a mission along the Grande Anello dei Sibillini, tackling approximately 140 km with more than 5,000 m of elevation gain, in complete self-sufficiency.
This will not yet be an official race, but a true field mission. The goal is to fully test the route and lay the foundations for turning this experience into an official competition, with the ambition of creating the first ultratrail race in the Marche region over 100 km.
A departure worth experiencing in person, before the athletes head deep into the Sibillini Mountains to face one of the most demanding challenges of the weekend.
ENDURANCE, SPORT AND THE FESSURA PROJECT
After the athletes set off, the programme continues in Amandola with a talk dedicated to endurance and mountain sports.
On stage will be Marco Olmo and Gilberto Zorat, together with athletes from the Fessura Trail Team, discussing experience, endurance, preparation and the relationship between athletes and territory.
It will also be an opportunity to tell the story of Fessura’s journey into the world of performance.
The screening of “ORMA”, the Fessura short film documenting the brand’s adventure at Chianti UTMB 2026, will follow.
The film retraces the birth of the Fessura Trail Team, capturing moments of racing, training and time spent together, while telling the story of Fessura’s growing presence in the world of performance and trail running.
A story that also looks ahead, highlighting the importance of bringing an event of this scale to the Marche region, showcasing the territory of the Sibillini Mountains and creating a new meeting point between sport, athletes and community.
SHAKE OUT RUN
Around 6:30 PM, the centre of Amandola will become the starting point for the Shake Out Run with the Fessura Trail Team.
An open community run designed to share a few kilometres, meet the athletes and test Fessura products on the trail.
After the run, everyone heads back to the main square, where the Fessura experience continues in the expo area.
An opportunity to discover the brand’s models and technologies up close, meet the team and shop Fessura products.
An evening built around running, testing and meeting people, right in the heart of Amandola.
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 27: RACE DAY AND MORE
Sunday, September 27 will be the day of the races, walks and the grand finale of the Zero Edition.
All races will start from the centre of Amandola, with three competitive distances designed to experience the Sibillini Mountains through different routes.
VTR | 35 KM | 1,900 M D+
The longest and most demanding route of the Zero Edition, designed for trail runners looking for a true challenge on the trails of the Sibillini Mountains.
SBL | 21 KM | 950 M D+
An intermediate distance combining elevation gain, pace and panoramic views, for those looking to experience trail running over a more accessible distance.
PLT | 12 KM | 400 M D+
A shorter, predominantly gravel route, ideal for those looking to take their first steps into running in nature.
But September 27 will be about more than competition.
The territory can also be experienced through two routes open to anyone who wants to take part at their own pace.
WALK | 12 KM
A route to enjoy on foot, or as a non-competitive run, exploring the landscapes of the Sibillini Mountains without the pressure of the clock.
FAMILY WALK | 4 KM
An accessible distance, also suitable for families, designed to experience the atmosphere of the event and the centre of Amandola without requiring any specific athletic preparation.
Sunday will also feature another special moment.
While the races are taking place, the athletes who set off the previous day will still be on their mission along the Grande Anello dei Sibillini.
Their arrival back in Amandola will be one of the most anticipated moments of the day, bringing together in the same square those who have taken part in Sunday’s races and those who have completed the entire loop.
The 12 km awards ceremony is scheduled for 12:00 PM, while the 21 km and 35 km awards ceremonies will take place at 1:30 PM.
A moment that captures the spirit of the Ultratrail GSR, bringing together competition, territory and a passion for running, with the Grande Anello acting as the common thread throughout the entire weekend.
TWO DAYS, ONE EVENT
The Ultratrail GSR was created to go beyond the race.
A project bringing together performance, trail running, territory and community, with the ambition of building a new event dedicated to running in nature in the heart of the Marche region.
Don't miss the dedicated Fessura area, where you can discover the full range of performance products.
Amandola becomes a meeting point for those who run, those who walk and anyone who wants to experience the Sibillini Mountains through sport.
Two weeks to go. The first step is almost here.
The Zero Edition of the Fessura Ultratrail GSR is about to come to life.
