Back to the Mountains that Inspired Us: Fessura alla Sibilla Trail 2025 Reading Giacomo Forconi’s masterpiece at the Dolomyths Run 42K: a new track record. 3 minutes Next Energy in motion - Sunset Run, kilometers shared together.

The Dolomyths Run was not just a race: it was a statement of strength, identity and vision.

The athlete from the Marche region of Team Fessura dominated the Dolomyths Run 42K with 2200 D+, with an extraordinary performance, finishing alone and setting the new course record: 3h57'06” .

An undertaking that combines strategy, mental strength, and explosiveness, built step by step on the climbs and descents of the Val di Fassa.

A company built meter by meter

The day didn't start well for Giacomo Forconi. The biting cold of the early hours challenged even the most experienced athletes, and at the first checkpoint at Lake Fedaia, Forconi passed in fourth place, 37 seconds behind the leading trio: Diego Angella (Team La Sportiva), Alessandro Riva (Team Salomon), and Mattia Reggidori.

But the race had just begun. As the sun rose, Forconi picked up pace. Climb after climb, he began to gain ground, demonstrating mental strength, perfect energy management, and the clarity of mind that only the most aware athletes possess.

On the technical stretch toward Lake Pordoi, he not only caught up with his rivals: he decisively overtook them, imposing his own pace. By the time he reached the Belvedere Refuge, the gap was already clear: almost a minute on Reggidori, more than a minute on Riva.

In trail running, success isn't built on legs alone. It takes brains, tactics, and vision. And Forconi managed every inch of the 42 km and 2,200 meters of elevation gain with surgical precision.

On the Col Rodella climb, his lead exceeded five minutes. Not even the technical final descent to Canazei changed his fortunes: Giacomo crossed the finish line alone, with a legendary time, and set a new Dolomyths Run 42K record.

Behind him, excellent performances also by Diego Angella, second place, Alessandro Riva, third, and Mattia Reggidori, who closes the top 4.
